All this does is reverse the last significant change (although there will be no school holiday mid-afternoon provision). D&G don't seem to do what other independents do, and that is fill in gaps during the school holidays. Not much point filling in the gaps on most services as there are very few passengers use school holiday only journeys, most probably because most of the general public don't know or care when the schools are off and don't want to take the chance of turning up for a bus that may not be running. It's more efficient to simply get the driver to start later or finish earlier, and the overall reduction in hours for the whole week allows more drivers to take holidays. The withdrawn trips on service 300 will still run on Saturdays and during school holidays as loadings for the Trafford Centre do increase at these times, plus the TC Bus Station are very good at keeping passengers up to date with which buses are running. RE: South Lancs Travel - T42 PVM - 11/01/2013 08:30 https://www.facebook.com/south.lancs is that south lancs themselves? if not i would report this page RE: South Lancs Travel - DVL418 - 11/01/2013 21:30 A report in this week's Route One magazine on South Lancs encounter with the TC. Case has been adjourned for two months. 'Consideration of action against the 48-vehicle licence held by Green Triangle Buses, trading as South Lancashire Travel, has been adjourned for two months by the North Western Traffic Commissioner (TC) Beverley Bell to enable other companies linked to Director David Reeves to be called before her, due to concerns over whether they meet the professional competence requirement.' Not looking good. Major grovelling and sock-pulling-up exercise over next few weeks on maintenance issues required, I suspect.
