RE: Crosville Club - CX54 DKD - 21/05/2013 19:38 Still working here. Just gone from my desktop (at a resolution of 1920x1080) to a laptop however and one complaint I do have is the scaling of images on lower resolutions. Half of the image is cut from the frame in some instances. It's very Facebook-esque and I dislike the image scaling on there too. RE: Crosville Club - H101GEV - 21/05/2013 19:46 It's a server issue at their end as I say so nothing to do with people's connections. I've now read several pages of the 122 that are now there, and the very heavy majority are not in favour of the redesign. There are a few scattered words of praise but few and far between to put it mildly. As has been mentioned already, unless Flickr make a rapid decision to offer a way to return to the older design, they are going to haemorrhage users at a rapid rate. RE: Crosville Club - H101GEV - 22/05/2013 13:54 There are 164 pages nearly all of complaints on Flickr's forum now. Flickr claims it is "listening" to the concerns of its users, yet there is not a single reply to any of the forum posts several days after it was launched. Pretty appalling arrogance if you ask me, and this is why I miss Fotopic so much. When it was still a family-run business, Fotopic's customer service was second to none and they'd respond to concerns/complaints/comments quickly and even had a live chat room for this purpose. Flickr, by contrast, offers at best very poor customer service indeed. A lot of the comments are likening it to the New Coke fiasco, and while it's a little melodramatic, I see the comparison. A tawdry new look, liable to stay, while Flickr's faithful users are well and truly shafted. I've found a couple of decent alternatives to Flickr now and it won't be long before my photos leave the sinking ship. RE: Crosville Club - M113 YKC - 22/05/2013 22:31 I also really dislike the new Flickr! The home page just loads and loads and goes on and on and the size of the photos make things look cluttered and unclear. If it isn't changed before my Pro expires (like that matters now - they seem to be offering everybody the same memory-usage, which makes me, a paying customer, not happy about what I'm supposed to be paying for...), I'll also take my photo-sharing elsewhere. What a shame and probably a sad end to Flickr because it's unlikely that they're going to listen! As others have said, customer service has always been next-to-nothing. They'll happily take your money, but they won't offer proper help and assistance in return (for example, a chance to message them - if they have, I haven't been able to find it since I first started on there on my old accounts). RE: Crosville Club - H101GEV - 22/05/2013 23:09 Well said, 3111. By the way, you're entitled to a pro-rated refund depending on how long your Pro subscription has left to run. I've already claimed mine as I have no intention of using Flickr again and certainly resent the idea of paying for something which is available for free. RE: Crosville Club - T42 PVM - 01/06/2013 09:56 I have now set up a poll regarding Impreas recent demonstrators asking people what they think the best is, pick your reply at http://north-west-public-transport-blog.blogspot.co.uk/ think this one will be a good one to see considering what each bus offers RE: Crosville Club - T42 PVM - 17/06/2013 08:42 HAVE TRUST & BELIVE IN YOUR FELLOW FORUM MEMBERS! would just like to broadcast this of fellow members ultralow sig as there are a lot of people who will not belive what some people say no matter who true their information is and seem to attack their sources RE: Crosville Club - wirralbus - 17/06/2013 09:12 I know your trying to protect your friend but by saying this , this is just going to antagonise people even more , thinking that your trying to get one over them . RE: Crosville Club - T42 PVM - 17/06/2013 09:46 am not trying to get one over anyone, everyone on here brings something different to the forum and that is why this forum works how it does and thats a great thing to see, my only issue is some people are forever saying *oh thats not going to happen* ect ect then 9 times out of 10 it does happen, the people on here have great connections in the hobby we like so much, i just wish people would show more trust to the information posted on here as thanks to the forum team (past and present) the bubble posters have been dealt with, again am not trying to get to anyone after all we are all here to talk about public transportation so we are all in the same boat RE: Crosville Club - wirralbus - 02/07/2013 20:41 For all us die hard forumers who can remember the wit of Crosville its a shame we dont see much more of him these days .
