RE: JPT Bus Company - T42 PVM - 28/06/2012 23:42 yea true but a mistake that can be easy done RE: JPT Bus Company - M60lad - 29/06/2012 06:17 JPT have been after getting rid of that bus for ages, its pet name is boomerang bus as no matter what they do to it, it just keeps coming back. I wonder how bad the bus is damaged as you cant actually see any damage in the photo RE: JPT Bus Company - T42 PVM - 22/07/2012 21:32 when was it what JPT ran the 512 in bolton? theres a photo on the wiki page http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/JP_Travel also noticed JPT not been on their facebook since early july RE: JPT Bus Company - SF07 - 22/07/2012 21:42 (22/07/2012 21:32)bolton bus basher Wrote: when was it what JPT ran the 512 in bolton? theres a photo on the wiki page http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/JP_Travel Was when Vale of Manchester went of business in May 2008. Ran it on a emergency tender before it was taken over by Arriva in July 2008. As for Facebook, they tend to come and go. No doubt that come end of summer, they'll be around a lot as First and JPT plan their next moves on the 17. RE: JPT Bus Company - T42 PVM - 22/07/2012 21:45 thanks for that, for what i have seen JPT seem to be winning by a long shot as most people leaving first to pass and getting JPT RE: JPT Bus Company - P528LND - 24/07/2012 11:39 Nope, I see more full First 17/18's than I do JPT ones. Every time. RE: JPT Bus Company - T42 PVM - 24/07/2012 11:42 well thats i seen when i been over there and JPT 17 come up for timetable change, wonder if extra trips will be added RE: JPT Bus Company - cumbria0902150 - 24/07/2012 13:21 I wouldn't be so sure of extra trips. The Eurobus branded ones will no longer run, with some of those journeys (not sure if all will move over or not until the new timetable is made public) being added into the normal JPT registration. Replacing newer, low floor vehicles with either older low floors, or even step entrance Olympians from Go North East to replace the ex London buses, is a very good sign that they're reducing their assets or costs in order to match the income they're getting from the services. Yes, they got the Primo's, but 2 of them were 2nd hand (from Reays Coaches, YX60 DWP and DWV), while the others were dirt cheap pre-registered dealer stock that Plaxton couldn't sell, and they're financed. Lets face it, OAP's don't pay any way, so they'll get on First because it is a nice new bus, unless the JPT bus is the first one to turn up when they're stood at their stop. Passengers needing to make onward journeys from Manchester will use a First pass to cover their other journeys as well, so the passenger base for them is rather restricted to people using stops along the 17 route and only the 17 route, or for people going shopping to Manchester and staying in Manchester centre. RE: JPT Bus Company - SF07 - 24/07/2012 14:24 Noticed on VOSA today that the 118 now includes 112/113 along with an amendment to Route and Stopping Places. I wonder whether this will be the long-awaited clash between Bluebird and JPT on the 112 route. RE: JPT Bus Company - CX54 DKD - 24/07/2012 14:47 Following posts being edited and removed from this thread, I'd ask that members are careful about what they say with regards to potentially sensitive company information. Posts which 'tread the line', so to speak, can be potentially damaging and tarnishing to both the forum and operator as pointed out earlier by another member. Thanks. |
