Now that is a shock , it comes so soon after the Wirral Bus and Tram Show .

Likely to be one of two reasons;

1. Equipment has become unsafe through delapidation.

2. Procedures governing safe methods of operation are not being
adhered to or are inadequate.

I've been informed by the 201 Bus Group that a tramway replacement bus service will run to the same times as the tram service until further notice.

Are the 201 operating it for MTPS or 1BG and whats on it

RE: Wirral Heritage Tramway - wirralbus - 20/10/2012 14:35

The full story will come out in the fullness of time why the service was suspended , I do hope whatever it is doesnt end in the tramway going for good , that would be a calamity if it did .

There where quite a few stored in daf at kirkby last time i went past about a month or 2 ago as there plainly visable from the main road where the gates are on the industrial estate.

Everything is still stalemate at present as far as I'm aware - still in limbo due to lack of agreement between Wirral Council and Merseytravel who officially own the former Blackpool trams.
