RE: Warrington's Own Buses - Metroline1511 - 27/10/2019 13:30 I deliberately jumped on 210 yesterday so that I could ride an Enviro200-MMC with a sensible 18 not a "misdated" CAT reg. Miaow! FROM THE CONSULTATION: A service permit scheme would be in operation for some cross-boundary services, allowing operators from outside the franchised area to run services into Greater Manchester and within Greater Manchester. Currently, there are 116 services that cross the Greater Manchester boundary. It is important to allow cross-boundary services to continue to be operated, and indeed encouraged, allowing bus travel between places outside Greater Manchester and destinations such as the Regional Centre and Manchester Airport. These services are important to neighbouring authorities as they enable people living in those places to reach destinations within Greater Manchester. There are also a small number of franchised services that would operate outside of Greater Manchester but would do so there under other powers and arrangements.
