GHA's provision of the Sunday & Public Holiday service on the 130 (Macclesfield-Manchester) started today.

Optare Solo YJ59 GHF and Optare Versa MX58 KZF were out.

Here is a photo of MX58 KZF

I presume at least one, possibly two other buses were also out on the 130 today - can anyone advise?

MX58KZE should of been the other.

Cheers - a lot of dead mileage involved though.

Further to my recent posting relating to the GHA Group and Dobsons the following vehicles have also been transferred with the company Dobsons Buses Limited and are being operated under the Dobsons licence within the GHA Group. Nine vehicles appear to have been transferred in total.

NJZ9086 (Volvo Olympian) is now working at Tarvin with previously reported G627EKA and K656UNH

J935CYK (Leyland / Plaxton) and M416UNW (Volvo / Alexander) are both working at Middlewich.

M561SRE (MB 709D / Marshall) is believed to be at Ruabon with previously reported H620RAH and N263FMA but I am not aware at this stage of their future

Other news

R457KWT DAF / Alexander ALX300 has now received GHA standard low floor livery and is being prepared for service

J52EDM Dennis Dart (step) / Plaxton is being sold to a GHA employee for preservation and is likely to be returned to Chester City livery.

I must say that GHA have done an excellent job today, communication wise with as of now 97 tweets on twitter since 5am this morning. Of course twitter is not the only communication medium, but still impressive.

Out of interest were any services from Tarvin Depot affected by the bad weather yesterday

Tarvin depot routes had problems like everyone else due to weather with buses serving rural area missing out certain areas whilst other routes had to miss out estate roads due to snow.
DB1 was particularly affected between Chester & Mold

I must admit that the company are now using both Twitter and Facebook as an effective means to get their news across - trouble is that it is possibly only a small audience.
