Although Chrome is very greedy with resources, especially if you like having a lot of tabs open at once, it seems to perform a lot more stably than Firefox does. Firefox on my computer suffers from jolty pictures when watching iPlayer and gradually builds up to massive amounts of memory. It's a real shame as it once was the best browser by a distance - I'm not so sure now. Main reason i went to Chrome is, i had problems with Firefox 3.6 browser not loading properly, regally getting error 404 messages when trying to load onto sites, plus Firefox Browser was loading slowly because of the add ons like Flash, Java ecc were enabled, plus one advantage like Firefox, Chrome also has Addblock. RE: Crosville Club - K853 MTJ - 13/11/2012 19:12 I've always used Chrome and I swear by it. My family use Firefox and I just don't like it in the slightest. I'm ashamed to say that, there once was a time when I used Internet Explorer (I know!), Firefox just seems like a more refined version of that, it doesn't feel modern or anything compared to Chromes interface and features that come with it. RE: Crosville Club - V671 DVU - 13/11/2012 19:35 I agree with Danny, always used Chrome as the layout of it is much better then Firefox (which is too much like Internet Explorer for me, too much at the top of the screen if you get me) and just better then Internet Explorer in every department. RE: Crosville Club - CX54 DKD - 26/11/2012 00:09 Didn't really want to clutter the operator feeds with this so here seems an appropriate enough place! Taking a look over this http://www.whatdotheyknow.com/request/131516/response/325383/attach/2/Qualifying%20agreement.pdf (the QBP agreement for Arriva & First on the 1/2/X2 provided under a freedom of information request) it seems to state that ALL operator tickets are valid on the aforementioned services. I'd just be interested to know whether anyone has attempted to, or seen someone, use anything but the other operator's day/weekly ticket on these services with (or without) success? It's only really of interest because it's the first I've heard of something other than day/weekly tickets being accepted on the QBP routes and begs the question as to why the ticketing situations are seemingly non-consistent across different QBPs. As an example, operators on the 10/A QBP - the only one which I use regularly - do not accept anything other than day/weekly tickets on each others' services. RE: Crosville Club - wirralbus - 26/11/2012 05:46 How much different in prices are the operators monthly tickets ? RE: Crosville Club - SNL 824 - 01/12/2012 21:57 There's also a problem on the Wirral QBPs with season tickets loaded on mobiles. I know, you end up forgetting the easy ones yet get the hard ones. Too much Ale? It's a good quiz site, loads of stuff on there, but not much bus related stuff though, unless someone signs up & sets a bus related quiz. |
