I believe changes to the west side of Warrington will be coming into play in January. I expect something similar would be done to the northern and eastern side too RE: Warrington's Own Buses - Valandil - 15/08/2018 14:40 Fairbrothers have signed a deal with Warrington's Own Buses: http://www.warringtonguardian.co.uk/news/16420655.fairbrothers-agree-deal-with-warringtons-own-buses/ Rumour has it that this is to cover their public service routes as the company ceases to operate them, but we don't seem to have exact details at the moment. RE: Warrington's Own Buses - RSTurbo50 - 15/08/2018 15:12 I know some of the details regarding Fairbrother’s. I do know we will be taking over the school contracts. I say this with a touch of sadness as I know the drivers very well... RE: Warrington's Own Buses - T42 PVM - 15/08/2018 16:44 Someone was telling me the other day that Network Warrington had bought Fairbrothers and their last day is Friday, How true this is tho is another thing. RE: Warrington's Own Buses - iMarkeh - 15/08/2018 18:09 The school contracts. I can't see Network Warrington putting up with the things them school kids get upto. The cost of damages will be higher than what they make. Penketh High are animals to say the least. I bet Network Warrington wanted the schools from the second the fire happened and they got to see how many kids the routes took. Interesting you say that about the Penketh kids, having done the Penketh High School run a number of times, they are actually very good kids and I never observed any damage. In addition to this, Fairbrothers drivers have always been very complimentary about Penketh High School children....I just thought seeing as though I’ve been on the front line so to speak,I’m actually in a good position to comment. If you use single deckers, you will be fine. Just make them big singles given how many kids use them. I don't know which service you did. The Dallam/Bewsey buses are the ones I am referring to. Apparently Callands can be bad but I don't know. I have never been on it. |
