That rules out one of these returning to speke then as a replacement for 4118 wonder what will replace it at speke then?

Probably in the interim a single decker as im sure no depot is going to give up a prized double decker without a fight .

the only deckers not in use are a small number of half dead DLA's at st helens and a few step deckers waiting scrap so unless your going to get a DLA from wrexham you had it

Due to high passenger numbers and heavy traffic in Liverpool yesterday some 432/433 services where curtailed to terminate at Liscard Village to make up lost time.

When will they transfer? 4000 out on 471 early evening today- wonder if it had managed a whole day in service.

here's a sad thought - once the new Gems arrive, with the exception of the two MPDs and the two remaining Enviro400s, the only "non-standard" vehicles will be the S-JUAs. Otherwise, it will be only Gems, Cadets and Pulsars. Compare that to october last year before the demise of the palatines, darts, and various Daf S/Ds. Used to be a great mix, now we'll lose the Presidents and Envrios soon.

I dont mind the enviros - brilliant buses when theyre working! Except the heating that is.

Speaking of enviro heating, the drivers cant control the passenger saloon heating from the cab, however 4422 has gained 2 new buttons which control the passenger heating whereas the others dont. Maybe theyve realised it would be a good idea to be able to turn the heating on and off?

On another note regarding the hybrids. A notice has gone up in LS saying due to the amount of geminis entering service at once, they'll need to train the drivers up in batches. Theyre asking for drivers to put their name down to be the part of the first batch of training, theyll be allocated permanently to cross river routes when the geminis arrive until the whole depot is trained up.

Two Pulsars were unhelpfully on the 432/433/437 service on Saturday: Pulsar 3131 and Cadet 2417. Both passed through the city centre on outbound 437 journeys when the masses were heading home; indeed, in 2417's case, it left late with a close to full standing load and was followed just a minute later by an Enviro which attracted a mere four people.

Possibly not an unusual working but rare, for me, to see a 59 plate Pulsar on the 410, 3002 is on it today, seen at New Brighton.

Another Cadet on the 471/472 becoming somewhat of a regular occurrence now, it being 2429.
