RE: Arriva North West - Bolton Depot - SLTRegular - 20/08/2016 06:21 Sadly i'm not convinced what with the sheer lack of routes left at Bolton. Transdev, Rotala, First, Cumfy and Stagecoach have really carved away at Bluebus's former share of the town's market RE: Arriva North West - Bolton Depot - mtl97 - 20/08/2016 12:06 Also from oct 31st cumfy bus are taking over 484 route from arriva plus sunday tenders on routes 525, 527 & 534, arriva wont have much left in bolton it must affect staff morale who work there RE: Arriva North West - Bolton Depot - T42 PVM - 20/08/2016 14:42 It is indeed RE: Arriva North West - Bolton Depot - SK15 GZG - 20/08/2016 16:42 (20/08/2016 05:39)childwallblues Wrote: Sounds more like that Arriva management have decided that the route does not warrant deckers whereas Laird Street can make better use of them. I completely disagree. I'm more inclined to believe it is for vehicle type standardisation so that the B5LH fleet is all at one depot. Whilst the 10 may not warrant the use of double deckers I don't think that any of the local routes operated by Birkenhead depot (such as the 403/413, 411, 414 etc) warrant the use of double deckers either RE: Arriva North West - Bolton Depot - Raawwwrrr! - 20/08/2016 18:23 (20/08/2016 16:42)SL64 JDZ Wrote: I completely disagree. It will be for standardisation and most likely lead to the withdrawal of the Gemini's RE: Arriva North West - Bolton Depot - MTL0201 - 20/08/2016 18:47 (20/08/2016 18:23)Raawwwrrr! Indeed the 410 is heaving on Sundays & could do with deckers, as well as a few Schools on that route, plus half a dozen Schools on the 413/414 when single deckers are inadequate, plus 413/414 can be heaving at other times especially just after 9.30am when off peak passes come into use. Bolton have been trying to offload them now for some time they offered them Winsford a few years back owing to the high running costs RE: Arriva North West - Bolton Depot - Metroline1511 - 20/08/2016 21:12 As the Bolton Volvo B5LHs are joining those at Birkenhead, I wonder whether the Blyth & Castleford ones will eventually concentrated at either garage?
