One Cadet that does impress me is 2475 ex-Selwyns Cadet not tattily and good engine however it does seem to be letting out too much smoke as of late, hopefully a problem doesn't develop from this

agreed - they were built for midgets

2448 got booked off 487s yesterday eve after the gear selector decided to not work - Driver had a full load so manually changed the gears up whetstone lane, got stuck in 1st and the gear selector would move but not do anything - at one point it was driving in first with the gear selector in reverse and reverse horns going off

Got taken over by 3003.

If you manage to ride one of these DAF Cadets on a good day and is really on song, they are quality sounding, nippy little machines that are great to ride.

The VDL Cadets however, oh dear!

Would have had a job blaming Speke. 2448 has always been at LS has it not?

2416 - 2434 were native to Speke for the 80/80A (Liverpool - Speke/Airport) and the post-2001 82A (Liverpool - Airport) Before the Runcorn 32A renumbering.
2435 - 2449 were native to Laird St (For the 403/413/423).

2427/28/29 went to Laird Street around 2006? when the X11 service was launched

Thanks for clearing that up Reece, interesting to know what started were. They're great little buses, the DAF Cadets, in my view. Had 2416 and 2417 the other day when visiting Wallasey - have to say both were absolutely great, certainly better than the likes of 2437 which was poor.
