RE: Arriva North West - Birkenhead Depot - P450 SWX - 02/11/2012 10:11 There transferes on 2411 are they not? And the only reason its still got them is prob because of the time it was off the road getting repaired RE: Arriva North West - Birkenhead Depot - K853 MTJ - 02/11/2012 10:54 Transfers or not they are still a nice touch, not often you see any form of badges left on a bus that old. RE: Arriva North West - Birkenhead Depot - H101GEV - 02/11/2012 16:57 I agree on 2411 and let's hope the badges, whatever form they take, survive well into its stay with Green Lane. It's good to see the batch reunited at one depot, albeit without the presence of good old 2412, which I didn't think was a bad example of the type. RE: Arriva North West - Birkenhead Depot - K101HUM - 02/11/2012 17:26 In relation to the badges, both the DAF and Alexander are factory fit from Falkirk when built in 2000. It shows, for the front bumper at the very least, still retains the original paint finish when applied north of the border from assembly. The DAF badge is a decal though very much genuine DAF manufactured and nowadays a fairly rare sight with it being a decal, it ability to withstand resistance when the bus is repainted is nil. The Alexander, on the other hand, is very much the ALX standard plastic type introduced in or around 1997 with the launch of the bodywork range. Very nice to see, although unusual for such pieces to last 12 years! I do recall a Plaxton Pointer 2 of the S-KHN batch at Laird St which retained its "Pointer" decal and Plaxton badging in a similar fashion to 2411. 2132 rings bells but could very well be incorrect there. Again, a rare sight and shows original manufacturers paint finish. 2411 will see these remain until the end of its days I have no doubt, with the chances of it being repainted ahead of other vehicles being low. In the same vein, Arriva North East Prestige bodied SB220 retains its factory fit DAF decal having well and truly ran its last mile as per the photograph below courtesy of ANE 1991: http://www.flickr.com/photos/58727891@N03/8123495350/ Appear to be having problems hyper-linking this page, apologies! RE: Arriva North West - Birkenhead Depot - V671 DVU - 02/11/2012 18:49 2133 retains it's Dennis badge (http://www.flickr.com/photos/trfc3615/8110779233/ ) where as 2114 retained both Dennis and Plaxton badges during it's time at LS (http://www.flickr.com/photos/andystransportpics/5534066077/ ) RE: Arriva North West - Birkenhead Depot - V671 DVU - 02/11/2012 18:59 (02/11/2012 18:50)K101HUM Wrote: 2133 retains only one of its once 3 badges on the front MM, the Dennis being the only one remaining. I should extend the comment above to highlight the badging on the S-KHN Dart I refer to was on the rear! That was 2119 K101 (http://www.flickr.com/photos/chrisbell50000/3864897866/ ), as you can tell it was in dire need of a repaint when the photographer took that picture! RE: Arriva North West - Birkenhead Depot - P450 SWX - 02/11/2012 19:42 2114 had them on front, 2119 had them on back and 2123 had neither RE: Arriva North West - Birkenhead Depot - LJ51 DDA - 02/11/2012 19:45 Seeming as your talking About 2114 And Badge's here is one of my Photo's of it Carrying its Badges!
