I want to share this video as i feel its important, All the Party Candidates that are standing in St Helens came together for a Debate on their Policys and local Issues, For anyone whos going to vote this Video will help decide who you think should be in office.
I don't really think such a local kind of debate should be used to base a general vote upon. For the likes of St Helens, which is a labour stronghold, it's not going to make much of a difference anyway.
The Telegraph, I think it was anyway, have/had a nice little tool online which asked for your view on a set of policies and then gave you an indication as to which party your views were most inline with. I'm sure it'll come up easily enough with a Google search.
Vote For Policies is a site where you have to choose from 5 different policies (dosen't say which party each policy belongs to) and at the end of the survey, the results tell which party was chisen on each policy. A very good site if your undecided. Just search for Vote For Policies.
Just been shown a good Opinion Poll where you anonymously Vote for the Party you plan on voting for and it shows you whos ahead in every Seat on a Live Map
There was a good debate on TV last night involving a few of the Candidates standing in this election in North West England including Green Partys Elizabeth Ward for St Helens North
I am 17 and so are just short of the voting age. When the time comes, I probably won't vote. The reason being is the choice good enough? At the end of the day all political parties and politicians are in it for the pay. Governments don't really care about the people, all they want is to generate enough revenue to keep their pockets lined. This applies all over the world. I don't want to go off on a bender here but all the parties are as bad as each other. Just in their own ways. Now I'll probably forget I posted in this topic but oh well.

I am a former councillor and am standing again in next Thursday's local elections, and must ask on what evidence you are basing the statement that ALL politicians 'are in it' for the pay?
My evidence to rebut your sweeping and wildly inaccurate allegation is that I could introduce you to many, many local and national politicians in the region of nearly every mainstream party that are most certainly NOT 'in it' for the money, and work long and hard for their electors and area, usually without fuss and often at considerable personal sacrifice.
