Looks like its just a works service
This will be an interesting phase for JPT, once again trying to compete with First, instead of the 17, this time it is the 181/182/58 (And that's just shaw, as soon as they hit Milnrow they have; 451,452 and 462 to also deal with). Going to be a hard battle for sure.

Northern and Stagecoach??
Think you mean UK North and Stagecoach unless your referring to a different part of the country. LOL

I think its fair to say JPT had their fingers well and truley burnt on the 17 which saw them retreat fairly rapidly, and now they may well get a taste of their own medicine with the Bluebird/Stagecoach takeover.
haha yeah UK North :P

And as for the competition from Stagecoach/Bluebird - it would be a shame if they send JPT down under through that... Though JPT need to get their act together in regards to their service, bus condition, routes and staff... I wouldn't like to see them disappear off our streets

I think if you go back two years JPT had the makings of a decent company. They had a very smart fleet, they had a large number of brand new vehicles and had a nice tidy network of tendered and commercial services, but as is so often the case, they seemed to put all their eggs into one basket, the buses started to look very shabby, their was an increase of passengers complaining that buses never turned up,they lost tenders, and the smart new vehicles have slowly been sold off and replaced by old sheds. Perfect example, the very smart Enviro400 sold to Ensign and replaced by the Northern Counties Olympians.

I very much doubt Stagecoach will lie back and do nothing, it will be very interesting though!
Yeah I know - we shall see - Bluebird is officially Stagecoach as of well 1 hour ago... Nothing had changed at their depot 2 hours ago... I shall see if anythign has changed when I pass it tomorrow when on the way to work... Will be interesting to see how JPT deal with the competition. Bare in mind they have also just lost the 169 night time tender... And not heard of them winning any...
I'm sure they've won the tender for evening 98s from April if that helps unless its just the Sunday evening tender but either way every tender helps

As for Stagecoach taking over Bluebird, the takeover was as from 04:00 this morning and route wise Stagecoach can't touch the routes for 3 months so I'd expect something to happen around June now, the only thing changing is Stagecoach losing Bluebird tenders in April
Yeah, lets wait til june then aye, i just hope in that time JPT pull their fingers out and do something to survive
