Just as well Queen Square wasn't built at the time of the Merseybus-GM Buses bus war they'd be chaos then[can't believe that was 20 years ago]. Queen Square Bus Station typifies a lot of modern bus stations, far too small to cope with the volume of traffic going through it. I felt PSBS should have been left as it, built Liverpool One behind PSBS, that was far more central than it's replacement LOBS, plenty of passengers used to use PSBS.

Merseytravel probably got told this the amount of land we can give you to build this bus station and no more and that what we have now is the end result .

If the bus wars had happened with Queen Square there the incumbent route would have been allowed to use the bus station and the new kid on the block wouldn't have been allowed to stop there .
