I am not going to name the depot and route, because I think the action was thoughtless rather than wanton stupidity. However, if the driver concerned happens to visit this forum, I would like to suggest that it is not a good idea to drink a bottle of pop whilst in charge of a moving bus - it is even more dangerous than using a mobile phone.
And if one of the passengers had been a police officer, you might have been putting your licence (& job) in danger.

I have seen a bus driver using a mobile phone whilst driving a year or so ago.
