For the North East members, although strictly not a proper Rally, there will be some vehicles on display in Bents Park in South Shields on Sunday as part of the Fun Day being held there. The event is being supported by the North East Bus Preservation Trust, so some of their vehicles will be there. Also attending are three Stagecoach North East vehicles: Stockton's MAN Enviro300 24107, an Enviro200 from South Shields and a E400H from Walkergate. It starts about 11 so pop along.
The North West Museum of Road Transport in St. Helens have decided to reinstate the previously cancelled Leyland National 40 event where Widnes Corporation No.1 will be in use on the day. Event held on the 30th September 10am to 4pm.
That's great news. I was really looking forward to it when it was announced nearly 2 years but quite disappointed when it wasn't on their events list for the year. Let's just hope there's a good turn out of Nationals.
For my fellow North East members, don't forget that next Sunday (29th July) is the Aycliffe and District Bus Preservation Society's Shildon Rally at Locomotion. This is also the main United Centenary celebrations so will feature both of the Volvo B7TLs in their new paintwork, as well as a few other Arriva vehicles.

First off, Steve's Nationals have no connection to the NEBPT. And yes, they will be there.
