to start CAS722A is now for sale what I dont understand is why there selling the trident when C176 YBA????? is still going in active service with A Metrobus?

They have acquired 1 or possibly 2 Volvo Olympians with East lancs Pyoneer bodywork from Stotts of Oldham which are also high floor.

Looks like Cass have already sold or part exchanged as it is listed by a Glasgow dealer.
One reason could be running costs, if it's a constant menace which constantly requires work or is notoriously unreliable or heavy on fuel it may be feasible to keep the older vehicles instead if they'll only be used on private hires which DDA compliment buses may not be required for. Just a thought!
Few months back I last saw trident parked at Chester Zoo. Before sale to Glasgow dealers.

If this is true I feel sorry for there loyal staff that they employed not many family run businesses left on Merseyside
