The North West Museum of Road Transport hosts it's Summer Sizzler event on Saturday the 9th June 2012 and Sunday 10th June 2012. Should be a good event with free bus rides and a fair amount of memorabilia stalls too.

How long has 1021 been based here as didnt know that they had it.

and is the ex Wirral Museums Fleetline still there?

Yes the Fleetline is still there tucked away at the back but still looking smart in "wallasey" livery. I went yesterday and the event itself was quite quiet, but enjoyed my ride on the St Helens Leyland.

It was just as quiet today. St Helens 54 and Halton 57 out today.

I had high hopes of seeing the St Helens Swift 260 on the road as it has been to a few rallies recently (Kirkby and Burscough) but sadly it wasn't to be seen not even in the museum itself.
