Working the Liverpool Central - Hunts Cross rail replacement services today were Enviro400s 4417, 4419, 4425, 4426 and 4431.
I saw a couple of the morning Liverpool - New Brighton/West Kirby replacements, all of which were single deck. Cadet 2629 was one of them, and the rest Pulsar 2s. The Liverpool - Rock Ferry replacements included a hybrid and 4200.
How long has it been since they used St johns Lane for the rail replacements

They normally wouldn't but there are works taking place on Lime Street outside St George's Hall.
Stagecoach worked today's Liverpool Central - Hunts Cross rail replacements in lieu of Arriva Bootle. Tridents HSV, RUT and NIB were out alongside a 51 plate Trident still in London livery with blinds wrongly displaying 'Shuttle Service'. It looked unprofessional to put it mildly, and the other Tridents did not display their destination - bound to cause confusion at LSP.

The red Trident was 17575, which is now a Stagecoach Manchester one (for Magic Bus), the 'Shuttle Service' was from it's use in Glasgow for the Commonwealth Games. I did see this and wondered what it was working, got a very poor shot with my phone.
Is the lack of Arriva working the rail replacements on the Northern Line due to the non availability of drivers or is this the start of other operators picking up work .
From the vehicles operating the Birkenhead Central - Chester / Ellesmere Port service this looks like majority hybrid operation.

Stagecoach quoted for and won this contract.
Get used to seeing the 4 x London "shuttle buses" for the next 7-8 months as there due to get re-vinyled this week.
Stagecoach were pretty poor at best, buses leaving St Geroges Hall just a few minutes after the train arrived into town. I fast walked around there and still missed it and the Stagecoach drivers couldn't have been any less bothered. Thankfully the C5 was on hand to get back to Brunswick but I doubt everyone would have been as lucky.
Any idea who is running the replacement bus for the Hamilton Square station closure? I will probably use this service to get to the Wirral bus & tram show a week on sunday.
