In the early days of of the First/Kelios TPE franchise there was an 8 car 158 working from Lime Street on the last TPE service the day after Liverpool won the Champions League! It had a debranded CT livered 158 in between 2 x 3 car Northern Spirit livered 158s.

Tough on any regular punters. Certainly Ilkeston cannot take six cars.
A 153 with a 158 is a lot better than a 158 on its own , at least there is some additional seating .
I think he mentioned it as it is very rare for a 153 to work this service
Are East Midlands 153's going to be modified to the new standards for disabled people or will they be reformed back into a 155 to be able to pass the new regulations .
As far as im aware no company has said that 153's will be reformed

Yes but because for these 3 and the one that visited a few weeks before that it is rare for 153s at Liverpool so it certainly I would say is rare despite the recent run of units.
