Neither operator needed a great deal of buses to operate last year's Aintree shuttles, so one would expect Arriva to use redundant DLAs and Stagecoach to simply draft in the Tridents from the 86.

My friend has seen two 58-plated Enviro400s on Arriva's A1 and one "B10" on Stagecoach's 922.

The Enviro400s could be 4401 and 4419 these have been reported in the bootle thread as having been transferred to bootle from birkenhead and more are to follow.

Arriva Enviro400s on the A1 today were 4400, 4401, 4411, 4417, 4418 and 4419. The first three were still "crossriver express"-branded - 4400 and 4401 still featuring their downstairs leather seats. The latter three were unbranded.
Stagecoach, on the other hand, were more varied with their allocations. Wirral Renowns 21116, 21117 and 21122 were among the evening allocation, along with Wirral Royales 16233, 16235 (Stagecoach-liveried) and 16236. Also, ALX400 17325 was among the allocation with 14-branded MAN/Enviro400 24134.
