The bus station layover is meant to be close for approximately four months (from 4th October) to allow for this work

Causing a few issues as no proper layover for buses or any way to turn buses around within the bus station.
Buses will have to take the long way round via Poplar Bank presumably?
North West Sparks rather than Lancashire Triangle but the BBC has reported that the Windermere branch electrification has been paused.
Piling work is to take place between Buckshaw Parkway and Euxton Junction over Christmas.

Not part of the Lancashire Triangle Electrification but associated with it. Masts have started to appear on Miles Platting Bank to the east of Manchester Victoria Station.
I understand that the wires were energised north of Ordsall Lane through Bolton to Euxton Junction last weekend.
A Virgin Trains Class 390 is booked to do four test runs over the route tomorrow night. If successful this spell the beginning of the end of the electrification works,
390104 is the nomiated unit for the tests.
