Nothing unusual about a pulsar being on the 14
2578 was on the 6 and 7 earlier. Around 10.00am, just after the bus went past Cronton, the gearbox started to behave irrationally and refused to change from first and second gear.
The driver made the passengers aware that despite the appalling and slightly dangerous speed of 12mph foot-to-the-floor down the roads with 50mph and national speed limits that he would continue driving to Warrington instead of leaving his passengers to wait an hour for the next bus.

I believe the bus continued the 6 to Liverpool departing at 10.35, but was replaced somewhere along the route
Cadet 2490 did something similar at St Helens for quite some time though instead of sticking in the lower gears, it stuck in the higher ones after picking up any kind of speed. I suppose it meant you could still get up to speed but it took some time in getting there. A complete shut down and restart sorted it on all but one occasion mind.
Passing GL this morning, looked like there was a pointer 2 in the at the back with the withdrawn marshalls, anybody any idea which one it is. Thanks.
7671 is now withdrawn
The wipers on 2217 stopped working this morning. Sounded like the motor blew. Not sure if the bus stayed out or not as I got off before it reached Green Lane on the 13.
3064 and 3075 look like they are heading back to green lane together, just passed through maghull.
2241 was on the Sheil Road circulars this afternoon. Got to be disappointed as a passenger expecting a brand new bus when an Urban 90 seated relic shows up!

I was in Liverpool yesterday afternoon looking out specifically for the 26 and 27. I saw 7 buses on the 26 and 6 on the 27 which seemed strange. I assume the PVR is 6 for each of them. As you say a disappointing allocation of old stock amongst the new.

26 - 2241, 3076, 3148, 3149, 3150, 3153 and 3154
27 - 2410, 2431, 3152, 3155, 3157 and 3158.

No sign of 3151. 3147 was on the 14 and 3156 on the 12.
Are 3159 - 3165 still expected?
Think yet another V-ENC has gone up in smoke today as per the Echo, looking at the photo it looks like old colours, can't quite make out which one it is but maybe 2404 (???). Vehicle was in Old Swan at the time.
