Commanders did come to my mind but I thought the same as Luke, seems strange they'd want to give them up seeing as they operate older vehicles, however kind of makes sense in a way as the Geminis could be seen as direct replacements for the Commanders which are often used on the 10 from what Ive seen in the past.
Having ridden on Bolton's Commanders if Bootle do get them I'd love to see them on 6/7 services especially the extensions to Warrington as they are quite good buses at speed, also they are quite smooth vehicles and virtually fault free, certainly I've noticed any faults with them whenever I've traveled on them
Bootle wouldnt be working 6/7, do you mean Green Lane.
theres a small chance the commanders could go as they was drafted in for the 715 that now gets optare solos and mini darts
Bolton DAF SB220 2563/5 & Cadets 2556/7 currently at Green Lane (on the NWVRT/Arriva charity tour), 3 more at Laird Street.
Cheers for that info mate, probably the rumoured cascades from Bolton joining the Green Lane fleet.
Probably....pics to follow later!
Wonder how long the people of Green Lane will take to realise how bloody cold the Ikarus's are... on a cold winter day its warmer outside. nice buses though originally liveried for the 635 route that SLT now have.
the DAF's here are indeed for service whereas the ones at birkenhead should not see service as they are out the fleet after being sold, if memory serves me right the company is based in scotland
