7671 was in service this evening, seen at around 18.20 on Lord Street. IIRC it was working the 13. Sounded dreadful.
Cheers for that, was still NFS at around midday over the pits so much have been repaired throughout today.
This 7671 or 7665 should be the next Marshall that bites the dust, both are awful in all departments and must be amongst the worst buses arriva nw have on the road.
They are due to leave next year aren't they>.

They should have a couple of years left in them yet, however we'll soon see. Management might decide that the likes of many older Plaxton Pointer 2s are in a better condition than most Marshalls and that they're not worth keeping.
By the 15 year rule of thumb, the Marshalls should be on there way out next year as should all V reg vehicles which should see significant orders for garages like Green Lane and St Helens and that will be something else interesting to look forward to! Depending upon how well the batch St Helens are to receive imminently perform, I wouldn't mind more Versas to replace the V reg vehicles but at the same time, I'd love to see some Streetlites.... Anyway, I'm off topic and remember that before this, some older vehicles will need to go and be replaced!

V platers are 1999 so applying the 15 year rule would mean 2014 withdrawal.
When V reg does go, don't forget the V-DJCs, a rather big batch of buses, so it may be that the withdrawal of vehicles this age is spread over 2 years Smile

You could also add the V-ENC's to this as well although there is obviously not as many of those to go. So really quite a lot of V platers overall.

Apologies for that one, I had the Marshalls down as 98 in my mind for some reason! I just had a mooch over the fleelist and the V-DJCs just make it into 2000 so should have 3 years left in them K853
