It would appear the talk of Deckers coming in for the 14 is not true, asked Arriva on Facebook before and they are not even certain that Green Lane will get any more Deckers

The Arriva North West Facebook page confirmed a few months ago that double deckers for the 14 and 18 were on order and due to arrive this month

Very confusing to say the least
I thought they said that, Am also very confused as new Buses are needed to replace the X and Y reg Buses that are still in Service with Arriva at different Depots

Exactly. There's 43 vehicles in the North West and around 20 vehicles (not including the 51/02-reg MPDs) in Wales that are due for replacement this year so some new stock will be needed to at least partially replace those with the rest being replaced by buses from other depots

All new vehicle orders for Arriva have been cancelled due to financial affairs within DB. It's make do for now (hence the upcoming swaps around the North East and Yorkshire fleets due to an order for Yorkshire being cancelled)

Thanks for confirming Kuyoyo!

Hope new orders are in after this EU vote
Its more to do with the finances of Arriva's parent company DB not the EU vote .

It's got absolutely nothing to do with the European Union membership referendum because Arriva have bus operations in Serbia (not a member of the European Union)

The link below should expand on the point that kuyoyo made in his previous post in a bit more detail
