I wonder whether route 68 is the least profitable route at GL to use mainly old buses?

(26/01/2015 13:07)LJ51 DDA Wrote: [ -> ]The reason was being because Arriva North West got the new Enviro 400s but the order was not placed by Arriva North West but they got the buses due to some issues so because of that some of our newer fleet had to be cascaded.

It therefore seems that the North West fleet was considered modern enough on the whole but just in need of more double-deckers. So the new E40Ds will have replaced the most modern Pulsars.

The Shires is a new location for Pulsar 2s, which had been mainly a Midlands and North type. Pity as I was planning to ride an Enviro300 on Stevenage - St Albans - Hemel routes later this year!

This does seem a good idea. I can never see the point of single-deckers on high-frequency routes unless there are physical restrictions such as a low bridge.

Not quite a new location, just had very few, 3407-3412 (09 plate) & 3752 (12 plate) at Stevenage.

Just spotted a poster on one of Green Lane's Pulsars advertising new buses for the 12/13/15. Similar to the posters used to advertise the new buses for the 10 group with an image of a convoy of Gemini's.
2706 is another arrival at Green Lane. It's now in the Interurban livery - looks very smart

All the ex saints branded ones are being repainted before entering service at green lane.
Will these Renowns from St Helens see off the 2 pointers and 2452 or some older Myllenniums and replace temporarily the 13 plate Pulsars
No the Renowns are not replacing 2345 nor are they replacing Mylleniums they are replacing 3062-3076 and 3147-3158 that are going elsewhere in the Arriva Division, theres Pulsars from St Helens due here
So are more deckers due at St Helens which is allowing Green Lane to get the Pulsars
The Deckers that have already arrived are displacing the Pulsars, most have already left for Green Lane

The double deckers at St Helens have displaced 10 Volvo B10BLEs and 6 Pulsars to Green Lane to replace Pulsars which are being cascaded to other divisions. The Myllenniums and Renowns are being replaced later in the year by brand new Enviro400s for services 12/13 and 15. 2345 will remain in service at Green Lane for the foreseeable future
