first thomson dreamliner revealed, its reg is G-TUIA looking great.
Boeing is now warning of delays to deliveries of any further dreamliners.

On Thursday the FAA of America gave Boeing permission to start test flying to test battery performance .

Thomson was supposed to get there first dreamliner in there order at the end of February , your guess is as good as mine to when it will be recieved now .

There is presently 473 of these dreamliners on order with 44 airlines eagerly watching developments.

In a major vote of no confidence in the dreamliner one of the biggest operators of Dreamliners to date ANA have announced to there travelling public that dreamliners will not be available for use until towards the end of May .

Boeing have said that they expected to be able to start flying the dreamliner in mid April .
Thomson Airways has delayed plans to start using Boeing's new Dreamliner planes on its long-haul routes.

The UK operator had planned to start using the Boeing 787s in May, but has had to cancel due to problems with the plane's batteries.

All of Boeing's Dreamliners have now been grounded and deliveries of new planes delayed.

Customers travelling in May and June will be transferred to Thomson Airways' 767 aircraft.
not a great surprise - but a real disaster for boeing and a PR mess for Thomson
I just wonder how many of these operators will now be getting there lawyer's and attorney's involved to extract there pound of flesh to obtain some discounts or concessions from Boeing for late delivery , whenever Boeing get the go ahead to restart delivering B787's.
No need for the lawyers. Boeing are already offering to pay for the operational cost of replacement aircraft already within the operators' fleets or for the lease of aircraft where operators don't have replacement aircraft within their fleet, all as a 'gesture of goodwill'.
Apparently the FAA have approved Boeing's plan for testing and analysis to get the Dreamlners flying again - but no timeline. It's reported that revenue losses for Japanese carrier ANA alone are 10M sterling near enough.
i know this is a dreamliner thread but im sure Airbus are looking at this and thinking lets makes sure this doesnt happen to our A350 when it comes on stream.
