This means that Stagecoach will be more buying more buses new to First for Merseyside operations, but this time via a more convoluted route than when they bought Rock Ferry depot from First.

This is in addition to 2 Enviro200s that they already have experience of operating elsewhere, notably in London.

I paid a visit to PeoplesBus depot yesterday and most, if not all of the Enviro400s, have now reverted to their original SN09 registrations.

I’m surprised the ALX400’s are going to make it into the Stagecoach fleet considering there age.
On Facebook this evening peoplesbus have commented they are returning to operating services with school service 688 in Whiston which has been won from ………..Stagecoach!!

They also have a new yellow and green livery!

Very strange, and even more stranger that when they sold to stagecoach they didn’t sign some kind of agreement about not competing with Stagecoach in any way in the area, especially with them retaining the brand and limited company.

That’s because Stagecoach didn’t buy the company, they only purchased the assets associated with the contracted services, whilst simultaneously taking on the additional drivers no longer required by the private hire and commercial side of the business.

Stagecoach have only purchased the rights to the vehicles, and nothing else. They could theoretically loose both the drivers and contracts they’ve inherited.

However I do find the move back into contracted services rather bizarre

On a related note, I've never seen '19908' SN09CFE, or any pics of it as such (but have seen all the others)....is this one still with Peoplesbus???
