Today marks the start of Wizzair's new service to Budapest. Flight due into Liverpool at 17:10.
One flight earlier than the original announcement to allow for Easter breaks rather than after clocks alter on Easter Sunday and regular Summer schedules start.

Wizz Air announces another new service from LJLA

Wizz Air, the largest low-cost airline in Central and Eastern Europe have announced that they are to commence flights from Liverpool John Lennon Airport (LJLA) to the Southern Romanian city of Craiova from the end of March 2017.

This is the airline’s second new route to be announced this Autumn following the news that they will commence flights to Lublin in Poland in May next year and will be Wizz Air’s seventh destination from Liverpool, complementing the airline’s existing flights to Warsaw, Gdansk, Katowice, Riga, Budapest and Lublin.

The three times weekly service will operate on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays commencing on 27th March 2017 and will be the only service outside of London to Craiova, taking the number of weekly departures by Wizz Air from Liverpool up to 20 from next Summer.

Craiova is an ideal short break destination with a strong focus on culture, filled with art, history and museums.

Wizz Air is the largest low-cost airline in Central and Eastern Europe with a network of over 450 routes, connecting 126 destinations across 38 countries. The airline operates a fleet of 72 Airbus A320 and Airbus A321 aircraft and last year they carried over 110,000 passengers via Liverpool – an increase of over 60% compared to 2014
