In a surprise move DRS has bought 4 x Class 37/7 from D B Schencker. These are 37703 37714 37716 and 37718 which were last used in Spain to haul construction trains on new high speed lines.

37714 at Barrow Hill has been painted in DRS blue in preparation for its return to service.
DRS has bought a further four Class 37.
These are 37503 from Barrow Hill, 37518 (IE Engineering, Bury), 37670 (Kingsbury) and 37696 (Booth, Rotherham).
In view of DRS scrapping a number of the Class over the past eighteen months these purchases do seem odd.
37518 has been bought by WCRC, not DRS. Also it was formerly owned by Ian Riley Engineering.

Sorry should be 37521 from Barrow Hill!
68002, the first of the fifteen diesel locomotives being built by Vessloh in Spain has arrived at Kingmoor Depot, Carlisle.
DBS 90034 has been repainted into DRS blue and drivers are now being trained. The loco is being hired from DRS.
90034 was repainted at Toton but is at Crewe Gresty Bridge for the addition of DRS decals.
90034 is now in service with the WB64 loco hauled stock.
68010-15 are to be leased to Chiltern Railways to replace the unreliable Class 67 on the Mainline services between Marylebone and Kidderminster. The first loco is due in service in December 2014.
