EDIT: Take that back, 47022 has returned to Carlisle tonight.
Interesting. I just travelled on it yesterday on the 50/51 service in Workington.

22160 has returned to service and is now at Penrith in use today on the 508 to Patterdale! 20219 is also there replacing 20965 which is now in the dead lane at Carlisle depot.
The other MANs 22137/139/143 have been joined by the two short Darts 34219 and 34221. These two were the longest serving buses in Carlisle, having been part of the emergency fleet after the flood in January 2005.

Surely the K-DAO B10Ms (though admittedly not the schoolrunners there now) were the longest serving?
Don't forget that the short darts have also had spells in reserve before coming back into service again.

Quite right! Though I would question if 20710-712 could continue to be called buses after they were fitted with those damn awful seats!!

Is 47921 now becoming the regular bus on the Brampton 685? Used to be an old Solo.

The most recent ten (37107-116) are registered YY14 WEV/WEW/WEX/WFA/WFB/WFC/WFD/WFE/WFF/WFG and all have advert frames on the rear and nearside - presumably they will not be route branded as the one on the rear will not leave room for it. Because of the centre emergency exit, frames cannot be fitted to the offside. Most of the first 20 (37086-105) are now route-branded and 37106 is the new Carlisle Youth Zone bus. Only ten more to come now, as well as the two Enviro300s 27141/2 for the 685 Newcastle.
The 05-reg Darts are now much reduced in number - 34705/6/7/11-14 are still around as well as 34715-19 which should be staying. Most of the others seem to have gone. 34704 went to Lillyhall in exchange for 35249 some time ago and I assume it is still there as 35249 is still in service at Carlisle. I don't know if it will return to Lillyhall to release 34704. W-reg 34221 is still in service and 34219 is on loan to Lillyhall while 22269 is also still at Carlisle. All the ex-Manchester MAN A300s also remain in service - looks like they will be the last to go although 22149 should stay as it is nominally for the 520 schools and 94/97 services.

47921 is for 685 shorts, yes.

So when the 2 new Enviro300s, 27141/2 arrive it will mean all the Stagecoach vehicles on the 685 will be brand new. Quite a change from about 18 months ago when it was 2 x S reg coaches and 1 x 51 reg Solo (and also Arriva were running V or R reg coaches but now have 07 reg Omnicities).

Solo 47616 is back in use from Lillyhall today, being seen on the 46/47 services in Workington. In addition 35249 was back from Carlisle and working the short working of the X5 from Workington to Keswick and back.

Re Megarider and 685 = I asked at Carlisle Bus station this morning – answer = yes and as the 685 is joint Stagecoach and Arriva, the ticket can be used on both Stagecoach and Arriva buses on the route.
Re “All the ex-Manchester MAN A300s also remain in service - looks like they will be the last to go although 22149 should stay as it is nominally for the 520 schools and 94/97 services” – Went into Carlisle today and 22269 X269MTS was outbound on the 97 just after lunch.
The only darts I saw today in Carlisle were on the 76. And a 76 branded new ADL Enviro200 was on the 38. Wonder when the council will change the road humps on route 76?
The new non route branded ADL Enviro200s are now appearing on country routes, one was outbound on the 179 Annan a lunchtime. And yesterday, Sunday, one was in Brampton mid afternoon on the 685 Brampton.
One of the ADL Enviro300 (27767?) on route 685 is now sounding a bit noisier than normal – so is the long route starting to take its toll?
