Today 20944 and 34703 were working the 108 Patterdale and schools and college boards with 16645 on the 104 which also does the 91A Caldew School service. 24123 was on the other extra 104 and 18361 and 24122 were on the two 104 Center Parcs runs. 17277 was on the 78 Keswick-Seatoller and 47474 was on the 77A Keswick-Buttermere (in place of 47221 which was in Carlisle).

Regular 104 bus 24124 has been off for a few days now and I saw it yesterday awaiting attention at North East Trucks in Kingstown, Carlisle. 16645 seems to have been transferred into Carlisle from Kendal and I think 34679 has gone the other way.

Of the four other Olympians at Carlisle (16336/37/38/43), the only one I saw today was 16338 which I think was on a 38 Blackwell instead of a Dart and I am wondering if their time will soon be up. Trident 18357 was on the 554 Keswick which also does a Caldew School run - this has usually been an N-reg Olympian.

At least five ex-Manchester MANs are now in service - 22134/37/39/42/43 - although I have never seen more than three on any one day. Yesterday 22139 and 22143 were on the 79/179 Annan/Dumfries and 22134 was on the 61 Carlisle city service. Not much left for the Alexander-bodied B10Ms now - as well as 20944 at Penrith, the only regular work seems to be the Brampton school run which also does the 94/97 services and a few other odd runs - 20133 was on this yesterday but 20456 was on the 685 Brampton covering for a Solo.

Quite a bit of interest around Carlisle at present with the changes in the fleet.

Re 94 and 97.

Heart of the City branded SLF Dart 34710 was in Brampton on the 0845 94 to Hallbankgate Crossgates yesterday (Monday).

MPD Dart 34219 was in Brampton on the 0910 97 from Castle Carrock (dep 0855) to Carlisle today.
It doesn't matter what goes on 94 and 97 for this week because school's are off for half term. It only needs either 20219 or 20456 on the school time journeys for the 520 contract.

All 7 of the MAN ALX300's have been in service and are on fleet, but they're breaking down that often that its very rare to have all 7 out at the same time. Due to their poor reliability some odd allocations are being thrown out, with 104 and 108's not working as they're supposed to be. I believe 1 Trident should be on Newton Rigg/Gilwilly's with a MAN ALX300, with the 2 branded MAN Enviro300's on Center Parc's.

When I saw the 104s on Tuesday, the Center Parcs were 24123 and unbranded 24122 with branded 24124 on the intermediate runs along with Olympian 16645. B10M 20944 came in off the early 108 and Trident 17017 took out the 1110.
18380 was on the X4 Workington-Penrith - this was one of the Tridents transferred from Barrow to Kendal in exchange for Scanias - not sure if it has moved on again or if it is just on loan to Lilyhall for the half-term holiday.
Not sure if 18380 is a loan or full time transfer, but Kendal have taken in 2 Olympian's, they also have ex-Hong Kong Dart 33036 from Gillmoss. 18380 is on X4 trials for potential permanent double deck allocations replacing the Volvo B7 coaches.
what routes do the new double deckers at lancaster work

If you mean the Enviro400 Tridents from what I have seen they are usually on the University service (2A) as they had WiFi fitted. But I have seen them on the Blackpool-Lancaster service 42, still not sampled one myself yet mate Smile
10014-23 stay on the 2/2A as they are route branded but some go on other routes as last jobs,10024-31 only have the rear wi-fi sticker and day/megarider stickers on the hoppers and can be used on any service if short.

Thanks for clarifying that mateSmile
More MAN ALX300 troubles! 22142 ignited itself last night on a 79, it is quite badly damaged and is expected to be scrapped. It looks like 20960 could possibly be brought back into full time service again to replace it.

You have answered my question before I even asked it!! I saw 20960 on the 93 service this morning; as this was a reserve, I wondered what had gone wrong.

By coincidence, yesterday I saw more MAN ALX300s in service in one day than any other and thought they must be improving! A total of five - 22134 took over a 61; 22139 was on a 79/179; 22142 was on the 93; 22143 was on the 104 and 22149 on the 1540 600. I have not seen 22137 for a few weeks now.

There was a decker problem yesterday as well; recent transfer 16645 was broken down in the Bus Station when it should have done the 0900 554 Keswick and was replaced by 104-branded 24124. I think it may have been towed back to the depot as a mechanic was having no luck with the battery charger and I saw the tow wagon heading to the bus station later on. This must have left a decker shortage as at 12.00, 18361 on the 104 was swapped with 24124 as the 554 goes on to do 91A Caldew School. 17017 was on the 104 which does Caldew School and I have not seen the other Trident 18357 for a day or two.

18380 was still on the X4 Penrith-Workington yesterdy - it has a very large steel bar on the top front nearside which none of the other Tridents up here have which will be useful when trialling a decker on a different service.
