Been told by an official Source that 1047 will be put back on the road temporarily till all problems are fixed. K853 can also confirm this as he was stood with me
From VOSA, there will be a change in route (and timetable) to the busway circulars in September.
Thats a strange one, I don't see how the route could be changed with it still being able to retain its 'Busway Circular' status.
Saying that, I have always thought it would be a good idea to perhaps extend them to the old town. Wonder if a slight change in route will account for the use of the 10 Gas Buses on order?
may go back to the old system, where it does the continuous loop rather then doubling back onitself changing from the 1 to a 2 and vice versa as that use to take up 6 buses then 2 for the
3/3A which would then leave 2 spare buses 1 for the busway then 1 for the westons.
AFAIK the PVR is the exact same the way the system is now, while also allowing drivers a few minutes layover time between doubling back on themselves.
Besides, would reverting back to the previous system require a change in route, would just require a change in timetable, if that, wouldn't it?
The way they changed it to resulted in the pvr becoming 5 instead of 6 as that was the reason they done it to save money but at the cost of passengers complaining about having to change buses to go from castlefeilds to murdishaw and vice versa .
I prefer it the way it is tbh, easier on driver. Plus if for whatever reason one service is running late, it had a knock on effect on each service thereafter if it is just a continuous loop.
It lives! 2419 is back out and about on the 79C today, infuriatingly it was going in the wrong direction for me this morning otherwise I would have got it to Liverpool! Keeping it company on there was 2937 and 2952
2937 must have been booked off/onto the X1 as I seen it passing Dingle Tesco at 3ish
Will have been probably mate, I seen it Runcorn bound at about half 9 on Arley Drive.
