3045 is another loan on 61 today.
2941 was on the 61 this evening.
Surprised to see from Arriva's timetables that there are still journeys between Halton Hospital and Broadgreen on the 61, running predominantly at the same time as the newer journeys between Halton Hospital and Liverpool City Centre - is that definitely what's happening?
So in the Halton area, if true, there are now 61's and 62's going around chasing their tails.

How are they chasing their tails????
The only place the cover the same route is from Halton Hospital to Halton Lodge (Handforth Lane) then the 62 goes via Grangeway with 61 going via Clifton Road
Then at Runcorn High St to Widnes Green Oaks .
The 61 departs Halton Hospital at 00.28 & 00,58 With the 62 due at Halton Hospital at 00.10 & 00.40 this gives a 12 min headway
At Runcorn High St the 61 depart at 00.15 & 00.45 with the 62 been 00.25 & 00.55

Yep, 62 has part of the route in Runcorn to itself, then covers the 500 from High Street to Halebank, the 61 covers the X1 in Runcorn.
Arriva have to stick to the Halton timetable for the ex Halton routes they've kept for now as it's an emergency registration, i'm sure Arriva will retime them in due course

I don't mean that the different services are chasing each other; I mean that according to the timetables there are 61's running at the same time as each other (two departing Halton Hospital at 28 past the hour and two departing at 58 past the hour), and completely separate to that, there are also 62's run by Warrington going around at pretty much the same time as each other.
Just a note as well that Arriva aren't sticking to the old Halton timetable, as for example they are running the 62 half-hourly, whereas Halton's 62 was every 20 minutes. As another instance, it's also the case with the 17, where they have redone the timetable.
I wonder how the X1 might further be affected in the future by these changes.
ADL Enviro200MMC SK68LZG noted on the 61 in Huyton this afternoon - I couldn't see a fleetnumber sadly - Overall white with Arriva logos
Any late running on those (or any other Huyton routes this afternoon) may have been due to an accident that happened on Archway Road around 4pm resulting in the Police closing one side of the road and all traffic being diverted down Bluebell Lane (when for the 61 heading towards Liverpool) - large queues throughout Huyton as a result.

Yes ARRIVA are running on emergency registration at the moment and are looking at the times what you have got to remember any new registration (which these will be NEW by ARRIVA) you have to give 90 days notice so will be looking at April before these come into place
