Stagecoach will be earmarking now vehicles from around there empire to do a short term fix , in the interim they will only need single deckers not double deckers .
I also think Stagecoach arent silly either and there will be no death duel with Arriva as everybody seems to be hoping for .
Apparently there is an intention to close Rock Ferry and Chester and move to an industrial area called Sealand.
Whilst I cannot be 100% certain that this is indeed gospel. I would be surprised if the person(s) providing this information was wrong.
Nevertheless, it is 2nd hand information, so it should be taken only at face value.

Whilst I can see this happening, I doubt it would be in the first year, or even the first few years, as they would want to settle in and get some of the fleet, routes etc sorted first I would have thought.
If this is true and its mentioned that its an industrial area called Sealand, is this Sealand as in by the retail park and that or Sealand as in Deeside?
There would be a fair bit of dead mileage for the Wirral routes.
There is some logistical nightmares here for anywhere around Sealand as St Helens Rider said dead mileage is one , what about driver breaks during the shift is a second .
What is more likely the case is the Chester depot moving there not the Wirral depot .

How ironic that would be - Sealand Industrial estate is close to where Crosville's central works used to be.

Yes it certainly would and there is quite a lot of land down there for sale I think, was when I was last down a while ago, cannot see all of it been sold already.
I would think it is Sealand near Chester, rather than Wales!
I heard from a friend at First Stagecoach are looking at A sight between Chester and Birkenhead poss somewhere around Ellesmere Ports industrial areas such as near Carvers or even in the areas around Bromborough but this is a rumor that first had been wanting for years
