Seen turning right from Liver Street onto Park Lane at about 5pm today (so almost certainly on the 103), was what appeared to be a Wright Pulsar Gemini in full Maghull livery. At any rate, it had the narrow, slightly offset lower deck rear window found on the DAF version, rather than the full width one seen on Volvos.

I tried to catch up with it on its return journey from Aigburth, but must have just missed it. I'll look out for it again tomorrow.

Anyone know its identity?

I saw ex-Arriva London DW 46 on a schools service in Netherton on Friday and I must say it looked really smart. I've just googled it and the same vehicle was filmed being towed out of Enfield garage by Ensign in May of this year having already been rubbed down and prepped for repaint.
Maghull coaches currently have ex Arriva London LJ05BNF (DW125) and LJ05GLF (DW131) sat in their yard in full fleet livery.

N753OAP and N807TPK were noted driving away on trade plates this afternoon also.
According to Steven Knight Media Maghull Coaches have acquired three ex-Metroline Scania N94UDs from Ensign Bus

The registrations are YN56 FDE (931), YN56 FDF (932) and YN56 FDJ (934)

Reportedly due here are 8 ex Go-Ahead PVL's (B7TL Presidents) for open top work.

That sounds credible as the current fleet of open toppers looks very jaded.

I don't think they look bad considering their age. However, only three are low floor, and the City Explorer and LFC Explorer - requiring three buses - are both registered local services, so should be operated by accessible vehicles.

Eight sounds a lot, though. Perhaps not all of them are for the open-top fleet?
