It has been announced that Liverpool City Council has purchased the Cunard Building from the Merseyside Pension Fund. The building will be used by the council who will be moving staff into the upper floors. However the ground floor and basement are to become the Liverpool Cruise Terminal. This has a precedent as it was used for that purpose from 1907-1968 by Cunard Line.
Noted at the Cruise Terminal on Monday was HMS Enterprise (H88) a Multi Role Survey vessel.
Just thinking of them cruise liners all in Liverpool it will be an interesting and very enjoyable time for all shipping enthuisiasts .
