D B Schencker subsidiary Euro Cargo Services has hired 66239 to RegioRail for service in Eastern France moving mineral water between Publier near Evian-les-Bains and Amberieu.
With the downturn in freight in the UK leaving locomotives surplus to requirements D B Schencker is transferring some locomotives to its Euro Cargo subsidiary. First to be re-allocated are 66193 66213 and 66232.
2010 Carrbridge derailment victim 66048 has been moved from Toton to Rotherham for disposal.
Second UK class 66 to be scrapped and I think the third in total scrapped as one European one has an accident and was scrapped I believe.

66521 was scrapped after the Great Heck accident
So 66048 is the third to go after 66521 and 66734.
I may have missed it, but what happened to 66734?

Of course I forgot about 66521
66734 derailled at Loch Treig and was considered too difficult to retrieve complete so was scrapped on site however its engine has apparently gone into one of the most recent 'new' ones and other components were kept for spares by GBRf.
