The World Matchplay Championship has kicked off in Blackpool. The Pie Man has just gone through to the 2nd round. Barney and Lewis have their 1st round matches later this evening.
Havent been able to watch the darts this evening but I'm glad that the Pie Man has got rid of that idiot The Asset.

I think this is the first time he's got past the first round. I missed Barney's match but Lewis was on fire.
Taylor just through to the quarter finals beating White 13-3, but his performance was really inconsistent - poor night despite scoreline.
I missed Wes Newton's 9 dart finish earlier - just caught it on replay! Pipe still beat him though.
I was out at wedding last night and only seen Baxter v Winstanley, Winstanley is going to have to tidy up his doubles if he is going to get somewhere. However, Baxter had a good strike rate at his doubles and him & Pipe in the next round are like chalk & cheese, I am glad I am in work and going to miss it as I find Pipe painful to watch.
Wade versus Taylor final tonight - should be good.
They nearly always are good games Wade v Taylor, should be interesting as Taylor has not been at his best this week but he probably will be for the final.
I'm watching the Player's Championship. King and Beaton neck and neck. Taylor just beat a somewhat knackered Lewis in a great game - lots of 180s and decent checkouts. Final day tomorrow should be good. Looking forward to the World Championship.
Havent watched much of this tournament, might try and catch tomorrows play, I will miss most of the world championship as I will be away at my in-laws and they don't have sky sports unfortunately.
