Forgot to mention,2494 is in the process of getting the engine work done on it.
By the looks of it it seems it's getting a new or recon engine.
That really doesn't surprise me MM. I don't know whether you've had it recently but the engine was juddery, threw out more black smoke than I've ever seen come off a bus and was abysmally slow. Hopefully they'll also do something about the rear axle as that was clunking around a hell of a lot.
Yeah notived thay the last time I had it,the rear ends are suppose to be getting painted on some of the cadets.due to the smoke causing dis colour to them.
The back of 2492 is starting to discolour and skirt paint flake away as are the rear lights if you get a chance to have a look in a bit. Surely the more sensible thing to do would be to just sort out the smoke problem but anyway..... I'd be surprised if any of them other than 2492/4 had the backs painted because they should all be done into Interurban when the garage goes through P&P anyway
Speke's 4459 is here with minor front, near side accident damage.
The Cadets exhaust configuration is to blame for that. As mentioned the dirt gets into the light cluster lenses & makes them very dim & probably verging on illegal.

Apparently, the Bootle body-shop finished its last bus the other day and the facility only has unallocated buses and Bootle's own buses in there now. Once they get rid of the unallocated buses there (half of them won't start up!) and transfer the 68 to Green Lane's ownership, that should see off "Liverline"...
