Sprinter 143 has now entered traffic - I saw it in the south of the island on Friday afternoon. 143 is a Euro VI example which makes it the first Euro VI vehicle in the Bus Vannin fleet (excluding the Mercedes-Benz O530K demonstrator last year). It is the second vehicle to carry the MAN-43-H registration

There's a possibility of new stock arriving next year with Tridents 19-24 scheduled for withdrawal following the 2016 TT festival. The 2009 batch of Volvo B9TLs (excluding 168) are due to be repainted into the silver livery in reverse order in the near future

With kind thanks to my source at Isle of Man Transport for this information
Citaro 204 is now back on the island following repair

On the dead patch today were 20, 132, 167, 202 and 206 whilst 19, 229, 242 and an unidentified maroon and cream Volvo were in the workshop

By the early afternoon 242 had moved back to the service lanes
StreetLite 131 was unusually on the 21/21B this afternoon. This route is usually operated by Citaros or the occasional Volvo

Sprinter 142 was at Port Erin depot on Sunday evening - this is the first time I have seen a minibus allocated to another depot since their introduction in 2013
The Citaros are now being fitted with luggage racks. 220 and 224 are two examples that have so far received them
Volvo 170 is now in silver
Any news on the bus crash this morning at York road traffic lights? Can't see anything on Isle of Man news Facebook etc. Got a friend on Facebook that was on the bus and said the bus went through red lights and straight into the side of a car.
Trident 20 has been lost as a result of the flooding on the island yesterday

The Sprinter seen in Port Erin was Douglas-based, only travelling there for summer Sunday and Bank Holiday services. It went out on the one-off route 4R from Douglas via Foxdale, St Johns, Glen Maye, Niarbyl, and across the southern hills to Port Erin – a particularly scenic route, well worth getting up early just for the ride. It would then spend the day operating route 28 to Cregneash and The Sound (more superb scenery), finally travelling via Niarbyl and Glen Maye on route 8R to Peel, followed by a return trip on route 8A to Castletown, a short outward working of route 4 to Niarbyl and back all the way to Douglas.

All of the second batch of Citaros, 213-224 have now been fitted with luggage racks, and it would appear that these will be the only ones, intended primarily for use on the main routes passing the Airport, although not yet always so allocated. This has resulted in the removal of the seats in front of, and the used ticket bins behind the nearside wheel arch. The bins have not gone to waste however, as they have been reappearing in the first batch of Citaros, 201-211/231, which were not equipped with them originally.
