Why??
Whilst my knowledge of Selwyns buses is quite limited (sadly they haven't come through on bustimes either), I do believe that their double decker bus that I have seen them running on the 18 is much better put to use on a Go Ahead route rather than the much quieter 44 service.

As long as the buses that are being put on the 44 route are low floor access, are clean and have friendly drivers who know the route I cannot see what the problem is from my point of view.
Also they are charging S1 tickets at the old £5.20 price. Clearly not noticed they've gone up since 129/382 days.

Since when was a paper blind allowed in this day ?

I agree it’s not ideal but I’m presuming TFGM are aware or Selwyns are happy to pay the fines.

Yeah it seems to me they've got so involved in the strike that they've forgot to organise suitable vehicles for these tenders, getting a decker through Withington Village seems hard work especially with parked cars.

And as soon as I raise this point, former Whitelaws Enviro200 MMC WW65GSW is operating the 44 today.

You are allowed paper blinds so long as Clear and temporary reasons. That the Reason Rail Replacement has paper ones as sometimes they can`t be programmed. And means they are in the right format. of upper case and lower case for calling points on white or yellow paper.

Was 2 big 4s on seperate cards. Nothing to show which direction it was going and that can be confusing for some people... Thankfully with the arrival of the Enviro200 MMC which had its LEDs set correctly, I can't see this happening again.

Wrong.

The PVSAR manual for regulated bus services includes numerous things that destination screens must meet, these include the position on the vehicle, size of the characters, the actual word of the destination rather than just a number, and must be illuminated.
