Im sure that low floor buses either double or single deck will used , Coaches are a backward step for this route.

I’m personally thinking the E400MMCs will be used on here could send the 2 from Sharston alongside the 2 at Runcorn if they aren’t needed

Unless you're getting a flight and have baggage. unless you have racks inside a low floor bus.

Selwyns ran the 500 service when I used Liverpool Airport in 2005 but by the following year it was an Arriva service. They also had the 200 Wilmslow-Manchester Airport, prior to Swans getting it.

You'd hope an airport bus has luggage racks if normal buses are used, unlike the 288 bus service to Manchester Airport.

Venice airport has local services run by both buses and coaches (depending on the operator), some people prefer the coaches as they can put their luggage in the space underneath, without having to take it on and then try to find a space for it on board.

for Manchester airport only 199 is really for people flying out others are more worker services.

many TFL buses has a baggage limit of 20kg marked on weight info on buses. that for all the bus

They may get away with this in the short term but I think they are usually used on high profile closed door contracts.

While you're unlikely to get 20 people boarding the same 288 service all with suitcases there are people boarding with suitcases and in the absence of luggage racks they usually block off a seat with their luggage, as it's the only safe place to leave it. People in Altrincham (and in places with connecting services to Altrincham) do go on holidays, even if the bus may carry more workers than holiday makers.

Which is a lot more than most people travelling on budget airlines will be taking and they are the people most likely to use the bus, a family going to Australia for a month is more likely to get a taxi.
Not sure why Merseytravel/Arriva are going to so much trouble and cost to run the 500. Plenty of buses serve the Airport and a quick look on FR24 shows just 7 flights out of LPL today. The X1 could be diverted to serve Riverside Drive.

Think you will find the X1 would not have enough time plus it would also need to be unregistered first then reregistered for Riverside Drive
