Unless they are banned from bidding with TFGM as it would be them who deals with it all you would think just like TFL
A little history lesson. When Selwyns First took over Haytons one of the first things they did was to hand back all the TFGM tenders they operated. Think they started at the time that they had no intention of working with TFGM as there was no money in it. For years they plodded on and suddenly they picked up a load of schools and strangly the Cheshire 391/392 contract and the TFGM 129 in Middleton. The Cheshire contract got handed back and now the schools??? It’s like history repeating itself.

From what I’ve heard they simply struggled to cover the schools and this is the main reason for handing them to Belle Vue.

Selwyns just don’t seem keen on seeing contracts out till the end.

Baths buses is through local councils and not TFGM and most prefer coaches to buses anyway so this shouldn’t effect that kind of work.

Thing is you can't really look at there past as they were not owned by a group who now have to toe the line with what the group wants. if RAPT want them do go for something they will. not long ago they wanted only contract work So went for bus tenders and more work services

I’m sure Selwyns was owned by RAPT when they bought Haytons.
RAPT Taken over in 2013

Hayton was taken over in 2011

And for a part they ran as 2 Units

I’m out of touch Smile
Either way the TFGM work Haytons had at time Selwyns took them over was quickly disposed of - with most if not all of it being handed to Bluebird - who also bought a couple of the vehicles used by Haytons to run the work.
Looks like RATP have pulled out of Selwyns, and the business sold back to Selwyn check this link taken from Companies House

The Filing History page shows it clearer. Registered office changed to The Old Hall Cavendish Farm Road Weston Runcorn WA7 4LU on 1 April 2020, Cessation of Ratp Dev Uk Ltd as a person with significant control on 31 March 2020 and a number of director changes.

I noticed the company has outstanding finance on 11 vehicles purchased in 2010-2011, most of them Volvo B9R plaxton elites.
