Just been researching the history of a few old coaches from the Merseycoach/Sightseers fleet.
One of the more interesting ones was Leyland Tiger/ Duple Laser 7031 BCK 314Y.
It was the first Laser built in 1982 and exhibited at the Motor Show that year by Duple along side a Caribbean.
Merseyside PTE purchased it for a very favourable £39,000 on condition of it being used on a demonstration run to other operators joining the fleet art Southport in June 1983.
Our settled down to life on tours and private hire as it was not equipped for bus service work as it retained its coach spec.
Sometime in the early 1990s it was registered OIW5804 and this until withdrawal when MTL wound up Sightseers in 1998/9.
Last I heard was out was sold with a GBG-Y Mark but not sure of this. Could any one help with its IF when it was sold and its after sale too?
