510 is being withdrawn. As is the 536 (Vision Bus) evening and I think Sunday (?) route. Extra 511 trips are replacing both contracts and cover most of the 510/536 routes anyway. Not seen any info on who's operating the extra 511 trips but I imagine they'll be tendered and won't be an extension of Diamond's daytime operation.
Maybe Vision would do it as a replacement for their 536.
As for the 494, maybe Rosso (to make up for losing their 510 evenings?). Or maybe Tyrers? I think it's a bit out of Vision's way.
D&G Bus changes for April 2021 (from their website):
Service 88 will have minor timetable changes at peak times.
Service 89 will be reduced on weekday afternoons.
Service 130 will be extended to serve Manchester Airport, Wythenshawe and Wythenshawe Hospital.
Service 288 will be operated by Little Gem.
Franchising in Greater Manchester taken a step closer this evening. Meetings next Friday and on 23rd March, where local leaders will decide whether to proceed with franchising or not before Andy Burnham decides to give the green light before the end of March.
If approved, franchising would start from 2023 in the north west of Greater Manchester (Bolton and Wigan plus parts of Salford and North Manchester), before expanding to Bury, Rochdale, Oldham (possibly Tameside) and the rest of North Manchester in 2024 and then in Stockport and Trafford plus rest of Manchester and Salford in 2025.

If franchising does happen will it be similar to how TfL manages it in London?
Also if it does happen will operators get new vehicles to operate the new/revised franchised services? I was going to ask would this mean First's Oldham Depot finally getting a new fleet replacing some of the vehicles they've got but considering it won't happen in Oldham till 2024 I would hope that Oldham will have replaced some of their vehicles by then due to the age needed for tenders as I'm sure some of the older Gemini B9s are getting on a bit now and will probably need replacing by then.

Unlikely to get new is it worth having devaluing new buses on a company that may not have a depot in a few years time. Unless by having better buses they get a better cash out.

No in London individual routes are franchised in Manchester its going to be entire depots with tfgm deciding which routes are run out of each depot. If I remember correctly there will be 10 depots across Greater Manchester each with 120 buses.25 small franchises which can be run by small companies although the bigger companies can also bid for these as well,& also the schools
