Thanks, and I've seen that picture a few times but just never took any notice. And of course these were got rid of at d-reg or roundabouts.
4 track numbers are quite rare in the UK, West Midlands & London use 4 track numbers on a wide scale, although London mostly uses them for night routes, having done away with suflix letters a decade ago, around Merseyside 4 track numbers tend to be used for Christmas Day services.
