Off long LL and, turn in past taskees and it was first left after (I think). The depot was at the bottom of that road in the corner.

No probs.
As MPTE1955 , if you turn in and go to the bottom by anthony's bakers and turn left again then go to the very bottom and there was a big opened plan yard at the bottom of the road on the left , thats where they parked up and the engineering department was.
The engineering facility as now been separated as that's where ace travel was based before it closed down on Charnock road at the bottom on the right.
The traffic office was the last big unit on the right , straight opposite where the yard was.
CMT's address and postcode was Unit 11-12, Liver Industrial Estate, Long Lane, L9 7ES if that's any help. I think where CMT were is now being used by Mersey Container Systems.

Did CMT's parking yard back off to SIG Roofing on Charnock Road is as had to pick something up there once in 2001/02 and opposite SIG's yard was a preserved ex-MTL/Southport Alexander Atlantean, I'm not 100% but I'm sure some CMT vehicles IIRC dead Nationals were parked up in there too.

Just wondering was CMT's offshoot L&M Travel based there as I remember there legal lettering had a Fazakerley address if so does anyone know where in Fazakerley L&M were based before they got merged into CMT after 2000/01? I know it's a long time ago but interested, thanks.

Thanks also for the Ace information too didn't know CMT used that building too and is this the same one that Cumfy now use/used?

Hard to think it's nearly 12-13 years since Stagecoach merged all the operations into Gillmoss too, time flies!
No cumfybus are on the industrial estate where the prison is.
When you say L+M travel do you mean LMS (Liverpool motor services) or was L+M TRAVEL the owners of greenbus as im led to beleive the owners of CMT's sister and husband had something to do with one or both of them.
Where S.I.G roofing is near the old CMT YARD and think its behind it.
If you have google earth, click on historical imagery, go to imagery date for 2003 & you can see the depot with red buses near the bottom of Charnock Road.
Thanks again everyone - very much appreciated Smile
The building on the left hand side of S.I.G use to be the maintenance dept and just behind it is a reclamation yard and thats where the buses use to park and then they hired a unit on the other side of the yard as the traffic desk and managment offices.
